Understanding the Varicella-Zoster Virus
If you’re past 50, you may hear more about shingles pain from friends, family, and your health care provider. That’s because it’s more common in older individuals.
It’s caused by the varicella-zoster virus which is the same virus that causes chickenpox. It lies dormant in the body after chickenpox symptoms are long gone. It can reactivate during high stress situations and when you immune system is weak.
When it reactivates as shingles, it travels along nerve fibers. Symptoms include:
• Pain – often described as a stabbing sensation, the pain could precede a rash.
• Rash – red and blistering, it can appear within a few days of the pain. Usually, it forms as a strip along one side of the body.
• Itching – or tingling.
• Sensitivity – affected areas could be more sensitive to touch.
• Flu-like symptoms – fever, fatigue, and headache may appear 2-3 days before the rash.
My Personal Experience with Shingles Pain
My dear mother suffered with shingles for 8 months. The 1st time she got it, it was on her scalp. We treated it with antivirals, and it cleared quickly. Five years later the virus reactivated on the lower part of her neck and traveled down to her left elbow.
During her 2nd experience with the virus, she was taking care of my father who was suffered from Parkinsons for 3 years. In the later stages of the disease, he’d become aggressive, which was taking a toll on my mother.
This time antivirals, topicals and gabapentin didn’t help her pain. She told me that if she had to live her life like this, she wasn’t interested in living at all. This hit me hard because my mother is one of the toughest women I know. I was thankful that I had learned a new treatment.
Prolozone Treatment for Shingles Pain
I’d just gone through Prolozone training and purchased the TRT machine. We decided to experiment because Ozone was an anti-viral and TRT could help clear the virus from the nerve. In one treatment, she left with less pain and was able to get a good nights sleep.
The lesions soon started to heal and within 3 weeks she was pain free. Since that time, I’ve tried this protocol on many patients with success.
The Edge Shingles Recovery Protocol
We combine Prolozone and an additional treatment to clear the virus, ease pain, and heal the Shingles rash. Here’s our step-by-step process that supports complete healing.
- Prolozone, a mixture of B vitamins, Dextrose, bicarb, and Procaine – a numbing agent that works on the autonomic nervous system – is injected below the rash area. Trust me, you want the area numbed before we complete the rest of the protocol.
- A solution that has Ozone (oxygen 3) is then infused into the area. Oxygen 3 binds with tissue and becomes hydrogen peroxide which kills bacteria and viruses. The oxygenation increases blood flow and stimulates cellular activity to help heal the damaged area.
- Softwave Therapy for shingles will integrate the acoustic wave and light into the area to help stimulate blood flow, which supports the recovery process and can reduce pain. The wave also resonates at a frequency that weakens/ breaks the bond the virus has to the nerve, which helps clear it from the body.
A less complex protocol is designed to provide temporary relief of itching, pain and other physical symptoms of the Zoster infection, is HERZ:SSR Homeopathic. If you’re suffering from Shingles pain, or one of your loved ones is affected, consider the Edge Shingles Protocol to help you finally find relief.
For a limited time, Edge is offering an evaluation for just $79. Call 520.232.3360 today to schedule your appointment so we can help you determine which protocol will help you find relief from Shingles pain.
